PROGRAMA BILINGÜE EN ACTIVIDADES COMPLEMENTARIAS: VISITA A A LOS MOLINOS DE ALCALÁ DE GUADAÍRA . 2ºA, B, C y D

 El alumnado de 2º ha disfrutado de una visita a los molinos de Alcalá de Guadaíra, donde han aprendido cómo funcionan los molinos de río y cómo vivían los molineros. Y para culminar la experiencia, han hecho una gymkana de orientación espacial con pruebas relacionadas con lo aprendido en ciencias, ¡siendo capaces de resolver las pistas en francés (2º A , 2ºB) y en inglés( 2ºC, 2ºD)!. Además, hemos tenido unos acompañantes muy especiales en el recorrido. 🐑🐏

SCIENCE WITH BERNICE

 In science class with 3rd and 4th grade, we did two experiments on mass and volume.

We tested a flat vs inflated balloon to see if air had mass.

Later we tested a square box vs a rectangular box to see which one could contain more rice

In science class with 3rd grade, we learned about attraction and repulsion between magnets. 🧲  We made some magnets float!

Then we tested different kinds of materials: carton, wood, plastic, cloth, steel, silver, and aluminium. There were three kinds of metals, but we learned that magnets don't work with all metals!

Endangered Animals Hotspots:

 This engaging Endangered Species Interactive Map resource is a great way for KS1 children to find out about some of the most endangered animals around the world. Hotspots are shown on a world map and children need only to click on each one to reveal key facts and information about each animal, written at an appropriate level for Year 1 and Year 2. The interactive element of the map makes this a perfect resource to encourage pupils to be active and inquisitive in their learning about animals and endangered species. It would be perfect to use as part of a group research task on endangered species in your KS1 class, or for activities during Green Week or climate change awareness days.

This is an extraordinary final activity of de Science SubjectS. The 6º grade students made an important effort not only at making their own research, preparation but also at explaning the experiments results in different languages.
On the other side, the achive of this special Science Fair was a fantastic motivation for including students with different skills and learning speed.

Lecture about Minerals and rocks by video conference.

El geólogo investigador del CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique-Francia), Don José Alberto Padrón- Navarta, hermano de nuestra señorita Beatriz, nos dio una video conferencia sobre minerales respondiendo a todas las inquietudes de los niños de 2º con respecto al tema de los minerales y las rocas. Fue muy amable, preparó un power point muy ilustrativo, bien secuenciado y muy adaptado al nivel de comprensión de las niños y los niños.  Además les enseñó el nombre de algunos minerales en inglés.¡ Jose Alberto serías un bueniiiiiiísimo maestro!

The grade 4 students are making  a research about their
own pets: clasification, feeding, habilties, phisical features,etc.
After that, they have explained their results to their class mates, but
even some of them, have taken their own pets to the class to show
them, like Leonardo. He has brought his turtle.
What a wondeful idea!!!.

Grade 6 Doctor Role Plays

On November 25th, 6ºC and 6ºD became doctors! To practice English vocabulary about going to the doctor, each class performed a short role play in groups of two. One person was the doctor, and the other was the patient. We had a great time with this project, and the results were great.
